Scope of Job  

Works with the VP Sales/Marking & Development Officer to optimize communication effectiveness and efficiency across traditional and digital marketing channels; develops and executes strategy-supporting marketing initiatives; serves as primary public relations coordinator for the company.

 

Primary Duties  

Monitor and manage contracts and relationships with channel partners. Provide recommendations for increasing effectiveness and efficiencies with partners.

Optimize and align all media channels to support business development strategy and target key segments, ensuring all content is accurate, consistent and timely. Evaluate performance of media strategy.

Monitor and consistently improve the content, use, responsiveness and positioning of bank websites to increase traffic and improve the user experience.

Assist the VP Sales/Marketing and Development Officer in assessing and prioritizing marketing needs for all BW divisions and lines of business by gathering information, assessing opportunities and proactively solving problems.

Serve as a PR/event specialist, responsible for organizing and attending defined BankWest hosted or sponsored events each year, and for representing the bank in a positive and professional manner at such events. Must have the ability and willingness to attend such events on evenings/weekends as required.

Write and publish articles, press releases, sales sheets and social media posts that proactively position the bank as a trusted financial advisor and community partner.

Serve as the organization's social networking expert and assist employees in following bank policy and using social networking tools to connect with target segments and enhance brand equity.

Provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the organization's digital footprint and industry trends in digital marketing. Make recommendations and implement modifications and enhancements accordingly.

Develop and maintain a social media presence that enhances the corporate brand and serves as a forum for customer engagement. Provide ongoing reports on response, evaluates and interprets quality of response and ROI.

 

Secondary Duties  

Work as a team with departmental counterparts on planning and implementing assigned projects and products.

Participate on various committees and project teams as deemed appropriate by management.

Attend, actively participate in organization, job specific training offered, and Quality Service programs.

Adhere to all applicable Policies and Procedures of BankWest organization.

Community involvement is strongly encouraged.

Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements  

Education   (The minimum qualifications for internal/external applicants)

A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

Applicable experience and/or related certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.

 

Experience   (The minimum qualifications for internal/external applicants)

3 years' experience in related field.

 

Special Skills  

Exceptional writing, grammar and usage skills for business communication and promotional copy.

 Independent self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

 Ability and willingness to travel statewide, including evening and weekend travel as needed.

 Ability to work dependently and/or independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust work schedules as needed to complete job responsibilities.

 Ability to organize and handle multiple responsibilities while delivering quality external and/or internal Customer Service.

Strong interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with external and/or internal customers.

Knowledge or ability to learn regulatory requirements pertinent to performance of specified duties in job description.

Knowledge of banking terminology and procedures.

Ability to skillfully use a variety of application software, learn computer programs, and comprehend the program output.

Adhere to Federal Privacy Standards in addition to following BankWest requirements for electronic communication and Social Engineering standards.
